If you’re using VTIGER CRM and are having trouble configuring your SMTP outgoing server based on Microsoft Exchange or Office 365, you’ve probably encountered one of the following problems:
-Your server requires a different outgoing mail server port than what is configured in VTIGER.
-Your server requires authentication and you don’t know how to configure it in VTIGER.
-You’re not sure what the hostname or “Smart Host” should be for your Exchange or Office 365 server.
Fortunately, we can help you solve all of these problems! Just follow our step-by-step guide below and you’ll have things up and running in no time.
First, let’s take a look at how to configure your server’s port number. If your Microsoft Exchange or Office 365 account uses a non-standard port number for outgoing mail (something other than 25, 465, or 587), you’ll need to update the port number in VTIGER. Here’s how
01
Login to your VTIGER account as an administrator.
02
Navigate to “Settings” > “CRM Settings” > “Email Settings”.
03
Under “Outgoing Server Settings”, enter the correct port number in the “Port” field.
04
Click “Save”.
